BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE Bassist Is Back And 'Ready To Roll!'
May 6, 2008Welsh metallers BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE resumed their world tour in support of their "Scream Aim Fire" album earlier tonight (Tuesday, May 6) with a performance in Brisbane, Australia alongside AVENGED SEVENFOLD and ATREYU.
BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE cancelled the last five shows on its North American tour last month in order to fly home to support its bassist/backing vocalist Jason "Jay" James whose daughter had been hospitalized. The three remaining members of BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE enlisted their guitar tech for abbreviated sets at Taste of Chaos stops in San Jose and Sacramento, California, but decided they were not comfortable performing that way.
In an interview conducted earlier this week by Andrew Haug of Triple J's "Full Metal Racket" (based in Australia). BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE frontman Matt Tuck stated about Jason's current status, "Yeah, he's back. He's ready to roll. Everything's cool back home. It was a very, very horrible situation at the time. We did push on we did two more shows with our guitar tech Kevin, who filled in for Jay on the bass. So we managed to get another couple of shows under our belts, but it was just weird, man. Our thoughts were all with Jay on stage it didn't feel right, so we ended it. There was only four more shows to go we'd done seven weeks, and there was only four more shows so we did the majority of the thing. But everything is cool with his little girl she's not 100 percent, but she's on the mend. And he can relax and just do what he does best, which is rock out."
"Full Metal Racket"'s entire interview with Matt Tuck is available for streaming at the Triple J web site: Windows Media, Real Media (NOTE: The Matt interview begins around the 53-minute mark). Check out the show's entire playlist at this location.
